Hi, I’m Akilah Smith, MCHES®—but around here, you can also call me Lady Chops!
As a licensed Kindermusik educator and Master Certified Health Education Specialist, I bring a unique blend of music, movement, and child development expertise into every class I teach. My passion is creating joyful, meaningful experiences that help children grow and help caregivers feel more connected, confident, and inspired along the way.
The name Lady Chops comes from my family’s music and entertainment business, where I perform and create alongside my husband, affectionately known in the music world as "Chops." Together, we’ve built a rhythm-filled life, and Kindermusik has become the heart of how I share that passion with families like yours. Lady Chops is my playful, music-loving educator persona—a name your child will hear often and grow to recognize as part of a fun, familiar learning routine.
I launched Music 'N' Motion with a vision to offer high-quality, inclusive Kindermusik classes to families in Metro Atlanta. My background in public health and early childhood education has given me a deep understanding of how powerful music can be—not just for learning, but for bonding, healing, and growing together as a family.
In every class, you can expect a warm, supportive environment where your child is celebrated for exactly who they are. Whether it’s your baby’s first giggle, your toddler’s first dance move, or your preschooler’s first solo song, I’m here to help you cherish every moment.
